Brisbane City Council Compost Rebate Program

Brisbane City Council’s Compost Rebate Program encourages sustainable gardening by offering rebates for composting and food waste recycling equipment. Eligible residents can claim up to $100 for composting equipment and $200 for food waste recycling systems purchased after January 1, 2024.

The rebate is a one-time offer per household and includes items like compost bins, worm farms, food waste dehydrators, and in-sink food disposal systems. Applicants need a receipt, property address, and bank details to apply. The initiative aims to reduce landfill waste and greenhouse gas emissions.
