Ducie Street Park Upgrade

I am proud to be a part of a such an active community that enjoys outdoor recreational activities and it is for this reason that I am so pleased to advise that I have secured funds to build a full size basketball court and volleyball court within the park! Upgrade have commenced for the basketball court and the court is due to be ready in September, followed by the Volleyball court in November.

The upgrades include:

  • Removing the half basketball court

  • Installing a full sized basketball court

  • Installing a full volleyball court –

With the Olympics on the horizon, I hope this upgrade may create an opportunity for the next Patty Mills or Natalie Cooke to represent our community!

More than 86% of Brisbane’s $3.6 billion budget is being invested in the suburbs and this is just one of the many ways the Schrinner Council is ensuring Brisbane is an even better place to live and play.
