Kooringal Drive Bridge Update

The shared bridge between Centenary Highway Bikeway and Kooringal Drive suffered significant structural damage during the floods in February.

Our team have developed a design and proposed new alignment that will improve the accessibility and resilience of the bridge in future flood events.

It is important to acknowledge that this is a complicated project given its proximity to the State Government’s Centenary Bridge Duplication.

Our City Projects team have been working closely with the State Government to ensure the pedestrian bridge integrates with the State’s plans.

Over the next month a development application will be submitted to the State Government for their review and approval.

This bridge is a critical part of our active transport network and reinstating this connection is a high priority.
