World Environment Day is back for 2026, and this year’s event is bigger and better than ever, with a free family morning full of fun activities, nature, and community spirit.
We have teamed up with the Centenary and District Environment Action Group (CDEA) and Wolston and Centenary Catchments (WACC) to bring the community a fantastic morning celebrating our local environment.
Join us from 8:30am to 12:00pm on Sunday, 7 June at Pooh Corner Environment Centre, 100 Wolston Road, Wacol.
There will be plenty to enjoy for all ages, including free children’s activities, a wildlife show, jumping castle, creative play activities, a nature scavenger hunt, water bug activities, Seedlings for Change planting activities, environmental stalls, and a special Koala Walk.
Visitors can also enjoy free coffee and croissants while exploring the event.
You’ll also have the chance to vote for your favourite local wildlife photo and learn more about the platypus that live right here in our local waterways.
It’s shaping up to be a wonderful community event and we would love to see you there.
