Copper theft has surged along bikeways, leaving pathways in darkness and posing risks to community safety. Ashridge Road Park, Darra and Spine Street, Sumner have been targeted a number of times with the copper typically being stolen within a week of installation.
We are working closely with Police and are also exploring innovative measures, including alternative materials and designs to deter theft.
