I am pleased to announce that I have secured funds to upgrade the dog off-leash area within Tigris Street Park, Riverhills.

It was a pleasure to join Councillor Andrew Wines on Friday to officially switch on the traffic lights at the intersection of Bellwood Street and Monier Road, Darra.

The much awaited upgrade for the Ducie Street dog off-leash area has now commenced.

Critical improvements have been undertaken at one of Brisbane’s worst crash hotspots, Boundary Road and Formation Street intersection in Wacol, with the support of the Federal Government through the Black Spot Program.

Brisbane City Council is upgrading the Boundary Road and Skepper Street intersection in Ellen Grove to enhance safety for all road users. The project will install traffic lights with right-turn arrows and pedestrian crossing facilities across Skepper Street.

I am proud to be a part of a such an active community that enjoys outdoor recreational activities and it is for this reason that I am so pleased to advise that I have secured funds to build a full size basketball court and volleyball court within the park!

Creating new parks, and enhancing our network of more than 2100 existing parks, is just another way the Schrinner Council is improving your lifestyle in Brisbane.
