I am excited to announce that our new and improved pontoons at Jindalee Boat Ramp Park and Riverhills Recreation Hub (Newcomb Park) are now open! After being severely damaged during the 2022 flood, our team have been working hard to get them back online.
The improved design incorporates environmentally conscious aluminium-encased ‘air pillows’ instead of the traditional Styrofoam, improving resilience and reducing the environmental impact. The completion of the smaller pontoons at Centenary Rowing Club and Amazons Place Park are anticipated to be completed early this year.
The community’s patience has been greatly appreciated, and I am delighted to see these facilities reopened for you and your family to enjoy.
